Our incredible team is made up of our founders, board of directors, and program leaders. These are, however, just some of the many people you'll meet by attending events and volunteering with YourJewish.

Founders

Our founders now look forward to taking what we have learned as leaders, teachers, and Jewish professionals to create and lead a new kind of nonprofit organization that approaches engagement by progressive Jews in the Twin Cities in a very different way.

Rabbi Jill Avrin

Founder and Rabbi

Rabbi Jill Avrin is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, received her BA from the University of Minnesota in 2004, and was ordained by Hebrew Union College in 2013. Following ordination, she moved to Minnesota to work at Bet Shalom Congregation, first as Rabbi Educator and then as Associate Rabbi. She left in the summer of 2023 to found YourJewish and is thrilled to be pursuing her dream of engaging those who are under-engaged in Jewish life through creative rituals and programs.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors are be the members of the organization and are elected to serve three-year terms. They are responsible for overseeing fiduciary responsibility, fundraising, program evaluation, and outreach to the community.
